This Cake Has a Working Chandelier

First off, you thought I wasn’t coming back, weren’t you? You thought I was teasing you, as I’ve done so many times before. Darlings, you know me so well. You weren’t wrong to think such things.

Anyway, it has come to my attention that Cake Opera Co., the makers of the most awe-inspiring Marie-inspired cakes of all time (see here and here) have had a pivot of sorts since I first featured them many moon ago — and it’s one worth knowing about.

Cake Opera no longer has a retail shop but WILL TEACH YOU HOW TO MAKE ITS  CAKES.

And of course, these aren’t merely cakes. For instance, this ‘Abandoned Theatre Cake‘ is not only a tribute to forgotten theaters of yesteryear that have now fallen into disrepair, it is a celebration of drama, artistry and INCLUDES A WORKING LIGHT UP CHANDELIER.Have you ever had a cake with a working chandelier? I didn’t think so.

Participants enjoy not just a chance to learn from a bona fide master. They also get a scone breakfast and a Champagne farewell once they’ve finished the course. Darlings, has there ever been a better reason to go to Canada? (well…. probably. But that’s not something polite blog mistresses discuss on blogs like these.)

Even if you aren’t in the market for a class, you’ll want to obsess over this woman’s Instagram. Trust me — you’ll be glad you did.
